  • Dory Boat Going Out

    Blessing of the Dory Fleet

    • When: Saturday, June 14, 2025, 12pm–2pm
    • Where: Pacific City Beach near Cape Kiwanda, north of the dory boat ramp
    • What: At the annual Blessing of the Fleet, local clergymen bless both new and old dory boats for safety at sea, and offer prayers for all the dorymen. Families and captains of the dory fleet have the opportunity to remember the people who died at sea and start the upcoming season by saying a prayer to bless the fleet. Dory boat captains will bring their boats starting at 11am.

    • What: Lincoln City's annual Summer Kite Festival is a longstanding family vacation tradition. Experience two days of kite-flying activities and let your heart soar. The whole family will be delighted to gaze up at huge, colorful octopuses swimming through the skies, whales breaching the clouds, and fast Rokkaku kites dancing through the air in loops and whorls.

    • Where: Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site near Proposal Rock
    • What: Celebrate Independence Day with a beloved local tradition—the annual Neskowin Fireworks Show on July 4. Just a 20-minute drive south of Pacific City, this community-run event has been lighting up the skies since 1996, thanks to the dedication of local families and volunteers. Fireworks can be viewed from any beach access in Neskowin, South Neskowin or the nearby hills, with the best views found on the beach near Proposal Rock.

    • What: The annual Clover's Day offers a fun-filled community celebration with a lively parade featuring Clover the Cow, a vendor fair showcasing local businesses, live music, and family-friendly activities like a petting zoo, face painting, and giant bubbles. Enjoy delicious food, exciting competitions like the milk chugging relay, and plenty of entertainment for all ages.
  • Dory Days 2025

    Dory Days

    • Where: Kiawanda Community Center, 34600 Cape Kiwanda Dr, Pacific City, OR 97135
    • What: Dory Days is an annual celebration of the dory fishing tradition unique to Pacific City, Oregon—and in 2025, it’s getting a festive twist with a Christmas in July theme. The weekend kicks off with the beloved Dory Days Parade, featuring holiday cheer and coastal flair. Enjoy live music, kids' activities, a classic fish fry, dory boat displays and more—all with a dash of yuletide spirit.

      Dory Days has been recognized by the Oregon Heritage Commission as an Oregon Heritage Tradition and joins only a handful of other events for this honor. The festival occurs every year on the third weekend of July and is hosted by the Pacific City-Nestucca Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Pacific City Dorymen’s Association.
