Oregon’s North Coast is studded with places to go and sights to see for explorers of all ages. Our staff are locals who love this place. They can point you toward their favorite spots or simply provide the cruiser bikes and beach towels to enhance your outing.

CLOSE TO THE INN
  • Stroll into the lobby and grab a Linus cruiser bike for riding around town.
  • Grab a fresh-brewed coffee, homemade pastry or satisfying lunch at Stimulus Coffee + Bakery, located on the Inn’s ground floor.
  • Step out back to pick up a colorful kite at Catch the Wind, then let it fly on the beach.
  • Meet up with family and friends at Pelican Brewing Company across the street for beers on the beach, delicious pub food and unmatched ocean views.
  • Head straight to the beach to watch (or join) the surfers, and the dory boats, build sandcastles or roast marshmallows over a beach bonfire.
  • Share an ocean-to-table meal and enjoy custom cocktails at Meridian Restaurant & Bar while you watch the waves crash into Cape Kiwanda.
  • Book a massage or facial at Tidepools Spa and arrive early for a soak in the outdoor hot tub before your treatment.
  • Race your friends or kids up the Cape’s 240-foot dune then keep exploring Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area for more breathtaking views of the North Coast.

AROUND THE AREA
  • Saddle up for professional guided horseback rides with Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides and saunter through Bob Straub State Park and along Pacific City’s coastline.
  • Rent a traditional or Hobie kayak or a stand-up paddleboard from Nestucca Adventures right beside the beautiful Nestucca River.
  • Grab your binoculars and trail shoes and head for the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, home to more than 100 bird species, as well as elk, amphibians, salmon and trout.
  • Visit Munson Creek Falls State Natural Site to watch the tallest waterfall in the Coast Range come tumbling down.
  • Start the Three Capes Scenic Loop in downtown Tillamook for a 40-mile drive that touches three stunning state parks: Cape Meares, Cape Lookout, then back to our own Cape Kiwanda.
  • From the South Neahkahnie Mountain Trailhead, hike a kid-friendly out and back trail with views of the beach, the ocean, Manzanita and the Nehalem Bay Mouth.

    WHAT: This historic race course is the genesis of the Mother of All Relays, where it all started back in 1982. The stunning course remained unchanged until eventually the popularity of Hood To Coast reached participants from all 50 states and 7 continents, resulting in the race course outgrowing its roots, and a move north was required, with the Finish Line in Seaside, OR. Now, the first Hood To Coast Relay course is back with Hood To Coast Pacific City…The Original! Check out the course maps!
