You will find so many ways to fill your days in our little beach town. Explore Pacific City’s magnificent beaches and climb to the top of the Great Dune at Cape Kiwanda for a memorable view. Explore further along Oregon’s North Coast which is replete with memorable sights and activities for explorers of all ages.

We can point you toward our favorite spots and provide everything you need for your outings. Grab a trail map to help you find the best local hikes or a tide table to explore the tide pools at the base of Cape Kiwanda. Borrow a tandem or single cruiser bike to explore Pacific City, or beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys for a day at the beach. Head to the Gear Shop to borrow e-bikes, sandboards, beach wagons, and more.

  • Head to Pacific City’s beach to watch (or join) the surfers, watch dory boats launch from the sand into the surf, build sandcastles, and roast marshmallows over a beach bonfire

AROUND THE AREA
  • Rent a traditional or Hobie kayak or a stand-up paddleboard from Nestucca Adventures right beside the beautiful Nestucca River.
  • Grab your binoculars and trail shoes and head for the Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, home to more than 100 bird species, as well as elk, amphibians, salmon and trout.
  • Visit Munson Creek Falls State Natural Site to watch the tallest waterfall in the Coast Range come tumbling down.
  • Start the Three Capes Scenic Loop in downtown Tillamook for a 40-mile drive that touches three stunning state parks: Cape Meares, Cape Lookout, then back to our own Cape Kiwanda.
  • From the South Neahkahnie Mountain Trailhead, hike a kid-friendly out and back trail with views of the beach, the ocean, Manzanita and the Nehalem Bay Mouth.
