Held at stunning Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City, this family-friendly event brings together surfers, spectators and the local community for a weekend of waves, competition and coastal vibes. It’s a true celebration of PNW surf culture.

    • What: The annual Lincoln City Fall Kite Festival is a longstanding family vacation tradition. Experience two days of kite-flying activities and let your heart soar. Enjoy exciting kite demonstrations by experts, kite-making, a parade, and of course the colorful, giant kites floating above the beach. The Fall Kite Festival is an event like no other, with brilliant shapes and colors filling up the sky for the whole weekend.

Enjoy an open-fire cooking demonstration with Chef Adam on the patio while savoring hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage. Afterward, gather in our ocean-view Fireside Room for a unique culinary experience showcasing dory-caught crab, fresh clams and chanterelle mushrooms. Seats are limited.     • What: Join us at the Inn at Cape Kiwanda to celebrate fall and National Cider Month with a special Portland Cider pop-up event where you can enjoy a taste of locally crafted ciders. This event is open to the public and offers a perfect opportunity to explore a variety of unique and refreshing ciders. Don’t miss this delightful tasting experience right here in Pacific City.
  • Neskowin Ghost Forest

    • When: Any time
    • Where: Neskowin public parking lot directly off Highway 101
    • What: Just a 20-minute drive south of the Inn at Cape Kiwanda lies one of the Oregon Coast’s most mysterious natural wonders: the Neskowin Ghost Forest. Here, ancient Sitka spruce stumps, believed to be nearly 2,000 years old, stand rooted in the sand, remnants of a massive earthquake or tsunami that buried the forest centuries ago. Revealed after a winter storm in the late 1990s, the eerie stumps emerge at low tide and offer a fascinating, otherworldly glimpse into the region’s geologic past.
  • Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze

    • When: Every weekend in October 2025: 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26
    • Where: 9455 Kilchis River Rd, Tillamook, OR 97141
    • What: Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze is the largest corn maze on the Oregon Coast. Visit the patch and pick out the perfect pumpkin, squash, or gourd during weekends in October. Free hay rides, parking, and photo booths for the whole family. Corn maze admission: $7 adult, $4 kids 12 and under. Pumpkin prices vary by size.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner at Meridian Restaurant & Bar

    • Where: Pacific City Beach, Oregon
    • What: Plan your trip to the Inn at Cape Kiwanda to coincide with the magnificent King Tides — the highest tides of the year, occurring when the sun and moon align to create stronger gravitational pulls on the Earth’s oceans. Along the Oregon Coast, these dramatic tides typically occur in winter and offer a striking view of the ocean’s power.
